blog@tuan is a Hugo theme for people who write at length. It deliberately holds very little: one column of text, one cool grey palette, and nothing blinking for the reader’s attention.

This page is both a greeting and a test: nearly every element the theme knows how to render turns up somewhere below.

Syntax Highlighting at Build Time

Every code block on this site was coloured before the HTML ever left the build machine. The browser receives <span> elements that already carry their classes, and the palette is nothing but CSS variables — so switching between light and dark recolours the code immediately, with nothing to re-render.

A Short Note on Hugo Modules

Git submodules still work, but the version is pinned to a bare commit hash and anyone cloning the repository has to remember --recurse-submodules. Hugo Modules sit directly on top of Go modules, so they come with real versioning.
